Welcome to Koru
Dr. Vivian Chin founded Koru Wellness Aesthetics in 2016 to bring medical aesthetic care and professional skincare together in a personal, welcoming setting.
Why Koru?
The name comes from the Māori koru, the form of an unfurling fern frond. Dr. Chin encountered it while living in New Zealand after postgraduate study at the University of Auckland. Its associations with growth, renewal, strength, and peace resonated with her and inspired the practice's name.
The three tendrils in our logo represent health, wellness, and aesthetics. They reflect Dr. Chin's original vision for Koru. Her late uncle helped design the logo, giving it a personal connection to family as well.

Vivian Chin, MD, MPH leads Koru's medical aesthetic care. Satoe, LE, our lead aesthetician, brings more than twenty years of skincare experience in Japan and New York City.
